Every athlete knows that proper hydration is hugely important when it comes to achieving peak performance.

An athlete that prepares well and gets the right level of hydration will always hold a huge advantage over those that don’t.

Athletes who don’t get adequately hydrated prior to training and competition will often experience fatigue, dehydration and injuries they otherwise wouldn’t have picked up.

The advantages of sports drinks are widely marketed. However, athletes can stay properly hydrated by simply taking on water before, during and after both training and competition.

Good hydration will not only provide the fuel to carry an athlete through an event but will also aid recovery after they’ve finished which is equally important.
