I have chronic golfers elbow from playing tennis. I have tried a chiropractor and physiotherapy for about three years with no significant results. If I did not play tennis or use the elbow in any way and combined that with laser therapy and adjustments for 9 months, as soon as I tried to play tennis again my elbow would not last more than a couple of weeks and I again would be on the sidelines.

What about a tennis coach? By the sound of it your pain comes on after playing tennis on a regular basis for a number of weeks suggesting that an evaluation of your technique (especially racket grip) and/or your equipment might find the root cause of the problem. Coaches are extremely knowledgeable about their sport and can generally pick up problems much easier than chiropractors as the coach watches how you play on the court not in a clinic room.

We have had great success with myofascial dry needling followed by X-fibre with an anti inflammatory gel like Rowo and massage with regular ice protocol (you need to ice a lot - 2 or 3 times a day) to get the inflammation down. If you are talking about the medial elbow, release the flexors ( soft side of the arm, if lateral, release the extensors. This can be a real problem, so you need to be pro-active - ice is your friend
