I started playing soccer about 5 years ago. I started noticing a slight pain in my left foot as I would run while turning to the left. Running strait or to the right seemed to have no effect. The pain was located on the left side and bottom of my foot. It has been a pain I have dealt with and hasn't been too much trouble for a couple of years. I play soccer twice a week pretty much all year.
I thought I needed tighter cleats to immobilize the area, I got some, and it seemed to do the trick except for occasionally when I would turn left sharply I would feel the pain.
On Saturday I was playing football. I made a sharp left turn, and collapsed to the ground because of the terrible pain I had. The pain is located again on the bottom left side of my foot, and the side of my foot and now the top of my foot. I can not even walk on it, and it is not getting better (it's been four days). I can rest my weight on the foot, but if my foot rocks or moves even ever so slightly the pain is terrible. It hurts to put my toes down or up also. There is some light swelling and redness, but not compared to how much it hurts. My ankle is completely fine and has not suffered an injury at all. A little help please?
Please don't respond with you should probably see a doctor, I don't have insurance. Two years ago I went to the doctor when I broke my Right ankle and they charged me $1500 to tell my to "stay off it till it doesn't hurt, and gave me a $40 walking cast" I am currently on crutches, and wrapping it with an ace bandage, taking ibuprofin.
Thanks
