Hello,
When running at no faster than a 10 min/mile pace after a few runs I have been finding the front of my RHS hip has been becoming sore for several days.
The only medical treatment I have received is being told to give it rest of a few weeks at a time. This obviously allows the inflammation to die down and prevents it being an issue in the short term.
My Bio Mechanics are already heavily compromised! I have had compartment release on both shins (inner and outer), also IT Band release on both knees.
Since these operations I have been able to return to full fitness, training in both running and weight carrying (10/15Kgs) over distances upto 8/10 miles(an occupational hazard), it is only recently these symptoms have manifested.

Steve on Facebook replies, 'Are you sure it's a hip strain and not Gilmore's Groin? Have you been tested for this?'
