I am scheduled to run my 1st half marathon this weekend but hurt my knee last week on my last long training run. It happened about 9 miles into the run and I could barely go on. The pain is on the outside of the left knee. It feels like a burning sensation around the outer knee cap and then spreads upward through my thigh when I run. It gets worse later after the run and after I sit still for a while. What can I do in the next few days to make it better? Also, what can I do during the race if the pain come back. Please help, I am running out of time!
