Everything I read regarding IT Band Syndrome describes a primary symptom as pain on the outside of the knee. Is it possible for a tight IT Band to cause pain on the inside of the knee as well?
For sure. In my experience TFL and therefore the IT band become overactive and shortened as a result of glute med being underactive. A sign of this will be your inability to reliably control a one leg squat without your knee moving medially. Medial knee movement equals pain on the inside of your knee. Foam roll the IT band and get glute med working.
