Question: knuckle on hand index finger location ,took hit from helmit and hurts to throw,he is a H.S. Quarterback been 2 weeks

Evan is a senior QB and took a helmit hit on his knuckle two weeks ago and still has not been able to throw the football without pain.The finger and swelling have gone down a little and nopt largely swelled and no black and blue. it hurts to throw and the index finger knuckle hurts to try to drive the throw. Please help
