I run a lot, about 100 miles a month. I have run 10 marathons in the last 3 years. The muscles on my inside lower legs are getting really big, and now they seem to hurt all the time. I have tried not running for as long as a couple of weeks, but as soon as I run again, immediate pain. Rather severe pain. It is worse on the right leg, and that muscle is larger on the right leg. I've tired ice, heat, rest, elevation, and simply ignoring it, but nothing works. This started 6 months ago. I am a 63 year old female.
