Question: my 12 year old son is off training now due to groin pull, have you any advice

he plays soccer, athletics, tennis
pulled up short during a match 2 weeks ago now, with groin area pain
i've given him ibuprofen for inflammation
he is going mad not being able to take part in his sports etc
would swimming be an option?
