Question: My 18 year old son has an OCD lesion in his left medial femoral condyle what is the best treatment to cure this?

Male 18 with a history of an OCD lesion to the left femoral condyle since age 15.
2007 micro fracture surgery, no relief
August 2011 bone marrow stem cell injection into the defect by Dr Hanson at the Regenerexx clinic in Colorado.
3 weeks post injection. No pain relief.
Will the stem cell injection cure or help him?
Should we just move on to surgery?
What is the best procedure?
