Our winters are really cold, so I don't spend much time walking - more cross country skiing - for exercise. This year when I took back up walking, I noticed my heel area, especially on my left foot were huting. I changed into better walking shoes but that didn't help. Last night, after an 8 mile walk, my left foot on the inside up through the shin was suffering almost excrutiating pain, I iced my feet after coming home, but this morning, the inside of my left foot near the heal area is still painful. I love to walk but never had this happen before. Am I getting old and falling apart???? Sob sob. I turned 50 this year.
