Pain in Chest and Back not subsiding. Why?

Question: Pain in Chest and Back not subsiding. Why?

I'm a healthy 44 year old male. Weekend warrior who plays lots of golf, lifts weights and runs a couple times a week 3-5 miles. I've had a slow-developing pain in my uppper back, left side, and it feels like it extends throughout the whole left side of my chest. I have full range of motion in my arm and shoulder without pain. But ironically, I feel the pain when lying flat on my back with arms at sides. Some of the exercises I do include: kneeling one-sided pull up with 50 lb. weight (one knee on bench press, the other on ground); regular bench press; curls; tricep pull-up. I also hit golf balls at the driving range a few times per week.
I read the article about chest pain, and it seems like the stress fracture to the rib may be on point, but would I have such extensive mobility of my arm/shoulder (without pain) if there were a fracture to he rib? Any ideas what the cause of this strange pain that doesn't want to go away? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
