I am recently getting back into running shape and am having some issues I hope somebody can help me with. I warm up, stretch and start jogging. Then the muscles on the outside of my shin bone begin to tighten up as do my calf muscles. I end up stopping pretty frequently to stretch both areas in both legs. It seems like it can be a little more serious in one leg or the other but happens in both legs. I have high arches and am currently about 120 miles into a pair of Asics T2120 running shoes. Running a 4 mile route I would guess I have to stop anywhere from 8-15 times. Also, when I run quite a bit in a week I get a pain in my left foot and the best way I can explain where is on the inside of my foot between the ankle bone and my achilles heal. I don't know if I should run through this stuff and call it a training issue or if I am having a shoe or orthodics issue(needing one that is).
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi there
I am an Australian Kinesiologist/sports therapist.
You seem to have a problem with the Soleus and Gastrocnemius muscles.
These muscles need vitamin C to function properly and are related on an energetic level to the immune system. Allergies can make these muscles malfunction. Most people we get in our healing center with similar issues have dairy allergies. If you wrote the letter and can read, you are too old to be suckled by a cow. I would suggest at least 2000 mg of Vit C, more if you like (there is no known toxicity) take a zinc supplement, 75 mg daily with the main meal, drink plenty of clean water and avoid dairy.
Good luck
Hans
