what is the best treatment for Horizontal tear in the posterior Horn of the Medial meniscus

Question: what is the best treatment for Horizontal tear in the posterior Horn of the Medial meniscus

Hi,

I have Horizontal tear in the posterior Horn of the Medial meniscus in my right knee.

I used to get pain around knee when i play.

So i used to avoid playing.

But last month, suddenly i got more pain. if i just bend my leg the pain was unbearable.

But again after few days the pain had reduced.

Last week i went for MRI Scan, results shows that i have Horizontal tear in the posterior Horn of the Medial meniscus.

Could any one of you please suggest me the better and fast treatment. So that i could be normal again soon.

Thanks in advance.
guru.

Answer:

find out who are good Physical Therapists in your town or city. go to the rehab facility where they work. ask at least 3 PTs, "which patients of yours heal the best?" "who were these patients surgeons?" the PTs know which surgeons do the best work. take your MRI disk to 2 of the recommended surgeons, ask the questions that you want answered, decide which doctor you have the most confidence in, and get an arthroscopy to fix your torn meniscus.
